Proudly funded by Youth Music through the Trailblazer Fund

Future Beat Makers is a two-year funded programme designed to make professional music production accessible to children and young people facing barriers to opportunity, supporting around 200 participants through creative, high-quality music experiences.

Why we created Future Beat Makers

Future Beat Makers is designed to remove barriers and create opportunities for children aged 6–18, with an ambition to engage 200 young people over the life of the project.

  • Disengaged from education

  • At risk of exclusion

  • Living in care

  • Attending Alternative Provision or PRUs

  • Experiencing social or economic disadvantage

  • Interested in music but unable to access professional facilities

For many young people, traditional interventions don’t always capture their interest.

Our experience showed something different.

Time and time again, music became the activity that young people naturally gravitated towards.

Rather than expecting young people to engage with support first, Future Beat Makers uses music as the starting point, creating genuine relationships that open the door to confidence, learning and personal development.

Future Beat Makers

Future Beat Makers is a two-year Youth Music funded programme created to make professional music production accessible to children and young people who face barriers to opportunity.

Developed by Together We Make A Difference CIC, the programme combines music production, mentoring and creative expression to help young people build confidence, develop practical skills and explore positive futures.

Young people work alongside experienced music producers and mentors within a professional recording environment, learning everything from beat making and songwriting to recording, production and creative collaboration.
