Supporting our purpose

Our trustees bring experience from business, education and community life to TWMAD’s work with children, young people and families.

Together, they provide oversight, support good decision-making and help us look ahead while keeping young people at the heart of our work.

Sean Adam

Trustee

Sean Adam – Trustee

Sean brings more than 50 years of experience across engineering, commercial leadership, project management and community service. His career has included senior roles in the energy, rail and water sectors, bringing a practical understanding of planning, leadership and business development.

Following his retirement, Sean volunteered with Citizens Advice, supporting people with housing and tax matters. He also worked with Green Door, a local charity supporting disabled people and older people at risk of isolation, helping with grant applications and liaison with the local authority.

Sean served as a governor and Chair of Governors at Portland Special School and College over a four-year period. Seeing young people achieve with the support of dedicated teachers and teaching assistants was a particularly rewarding part of his work.

He brings this combination of commercial experience, school governance and community commitment to his role at TWMAD. Outside his professional and voluntary work, Sean enjoys travelling with his wife, Anne, and following rugby.

Nathan Waldron, TWMAD Trustee

Nathan Waldron – Trustee

Director and Financial Adviser

Nathan believes young people need belief, structure and real opportunities to build confidence, resilience and direction for the future.

As a Director and Financial Adviser, he helps people plan for the long term, make confident decisions and turn goals into practical steps. He brings strategic thinking and financial experience to support TWMAD’s planning, budgeting, partnerships and sustainability.

For Nathan, TWMAD’s impact is about helping young people find confidence, purpose and a pathway forward through practical support and people who believe in them.

“Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.”

A quote Nathan would like to share with young people.
